In order to join our activity, we ask all customers to read through and confirm they fully understood the "Street Kart Terms and Conditions." In the event you do not agree with any of the sections, you will not be able to join the activity.
Please see our full "Terms and Conditions" below. For the safety of our drivers and others on the road, we require full compliance when driving our karts.
The official version of the following "Terms and Conditions" is written in English and shall be the authoritative version for all purposes. The translated version (non-English) is for your convenience only. By signing (manually or digitally), you agree that provisions of the English version prevails over any translated versions.
The User agrees to comply with these "Terms and Conditions" when participating in services provided from the Shop. Services will not be provided without agreement under any circumstance.
The User must fall under the following 5 conditions. If the User fails to fall under with either 1 of the conditions, the User will not be allowed to use the service. If the user is found to be using the service even though the User does not fall under the conditions, then the User acknowledges that insurance will not apply.
The User must obey all local traffic laws and regulations. The User must have a valid driving license or permit to drive in Japan and must carry it at all times. The User must have sufficient driving skills to drive the kart.
In Japan, it is the User's responsibility under the law to ensure that the kart is fully operable and has no defects that would violate any local traffic regulations (for example, functioning turn signals, headlights, taillights, brake lights, brakes, and acceleration mechanisms).
Each User will be responsible for any traffic violations. The Shop or tour guide will not be liable for any fines or fees incurred by any traffic violation.
The Shop may charge any unresolved fines or fees incurred by the User regarding traffic violations with local authorities.
In the event of a traffic accident, the User must immediately notify the tour guide, local authorities, and insurance company.
In the event of a traffic accident, the User agrees not to enter into a settlement agreement with the opposing party without StreetKart's consent. StreetKart will not be liable for any settlement agreement made between the User and the opposing party without the consent of StreetKart.
All Karts are insured in case of an accident. However, the coverage of the insurance is limited and regulated. In an event of an accident, the insurance company will evaluate the incident. At this moment, the User must pay a deductible of 50,000 Japanese Yen. If the insurance company evaluates the accident is as a result of reckless driving, the User will be denied coverage.
The User is responsible for any damages to the karts. The User understands that the Shop will charge for actual cost of repairs. Any damages involving the insurance company will follow Clause 09. The Shop has the right to claim for damages.
The User agrees that they are neither a member of a criminal organization nor are they participating in criminal activity.
The User may not permit anyone else to drive or ride the kart, unless explicitly specified by the Shop or the tour guide.
The karts, when rented, shall not be permitted for commercial use, such as courier service or advertisement, unless permission is granted by the Shop.
Regarding Tour customers, users will not be liable for filling the tanks after the tour has finished. For freelance rentals, the User must not modify the vehicle in any way (e.g. attaching stickers, installing devices, etc.) without consent from StreetKart. Standard necessary maintenance is an exception to this clause.
This clause does not apply to guided tour customers. Regarding freelance rentals, the User is committed to returning the Vehicle, etc. at to the place and at the time prescribed by the Shop. If the User exceeds the rental time, they must obtain the consent of the Shop and pay a late fee.
The User agrees to make no claim whatsoever to copyright, portrait rights, or publicity rights related to photographs or media related to the usage of the karts and services provided.
If the User violates these Terms and Conditions, the User acknowledges and agrees to compensate StreetKart for any claims regarding damages or violation penalties.
The User understands that the Shop and tour guide have the right and authority to suspend an individual user from driving a kart depending on safety risks, including, but not limited to, reckless driving or not complying with tour rules. The User will return the kart as specified by the Shop or tour guide.
The Shop will not be responsible and/or liable for any damages caused to the User. The Shop has the right to suspend, cancel, and change the service provided to the User.
The User may not collect data, information, or images in relation to any media distribution. Furthermore, the User cannot collect any data without the express permission of the Shop.
The User understands that the Terms and Conditions may be updated without noticing or approval from the User.
The shop reserves the right to review and adjust prices. Current prices are displayed on our website and at the shop.
To drive in Japan, you need a valid Japanese driver's license, International Driving Permit, US military SOFA license, or for those from Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco, your local license with an official Japanese translation. You cannot drive without a license!
