If you're interested in reserving your Street Kart experience, simply reach out to us through our Facebook pages or LINE us or email us at booking@streetkart.com.
Make sure to include these details in your request message:
1. Country issuing your driver's license
2. Number of drivers
3. Date and Time (morning, afternoon, evening)
4. Preferred Shop/ Course
*Anyone who has been staying in Japan for more than 12 consecutive months, International Driving Permits are NOT allowed.
*All drivers must be 18 years old or above to drive legally in Japan.
Please note that it might take up to 24 hours for our staff to respond so we would appreciate your patience and kind understanding.

We do not recommend walk-in reservations. Thanks to our customers we are usually fully booked well in advance.
For future reservation, please contact our reservation center as our shop staff are responsible for delivering the tours.
Our tours are incredibly popular and fill up quickly. We recommend booking as early as three months in advance. However, we will accept direct bookings up to one year in advance.
You must be 18 years or older with the proper driving documents to drive in Japan.
And your driving documents must permit you to drive automatic four-wheel vehicles.
The documents you need to acquire for driving in Japan are subject to the country that issued your driving license. Please see the following link: https://kart.st/license
As a safety measure, our tour guides can take up to six drivers per tour. If your group is larger than this, we can only accommodate you at our Tokyo Bay shop. Please contact our reservation center and we will arrange it for you.
Note that your group will be split into smaller groups and depart several minutes apart with two different tour guides.

At the moment we can only accept reservations via our Facebook pages, Email, Line or over the phone.
For any general questions you may contact us via Instagram and Twitter, however note that we will NOT provide availability or proceed with a reservation through this platform.
Yes, depending on the availability. But please note that you will have to arrive at the shop 30 minutes before the tour time to make your direct payment and prepare for the check-in process.
Please let us know as soon as possible when you think that you might be late so we can inform the shop. If you arrive too late, your tour might go on without you and depending on the availability, you might not be able to reschedule.
Please provide us with the number of drivers, the country issuing all the driver's driving licenses, your preferred shop/course, and the tour date and time.
Please make sure to bring your original International Driving Permit and passport with you.
For driving licenses issued in Belgium, France, Germany, Monaco, Switzerland or Taiwan, please bring the original Japanese translation, your local driver's license and passport with you.
For military personnel, please bring your Military ID with your SOFA permit or US driver's license.

Even if your permits are not ready yet, you can still secure your reservation by settling the payment in full. Once your permits are available, please send us photos for validation.
We operate all-year around including winter time.
It is advised to send us photos of your cover page and picture ID page of all drivers' International Driving Permits so we can confirm their validity beforehand. This is just a precaution in case there's a mistake in your permit and you still have ample time to fix it.
It is acceptable if you do not want to send us the photos, but please note that you will not be able to join the tour and no refund will be given if your permit is not valid.
We are sorry, but you will not be allowed to drive as the legal age for driving in Japan is 18-years-old or older.
We usually send an email confirmation within 1 hour after the call. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder for messages as well. If you still haven't received any emails from us, please kindly call us back. There might be a mistake with the email address.
Sorry, our karts are designed for single drivers only. Non-drivers will not be able to ride on the same karts as drivers or the guides. We also do not provide any service for passengers following the tour.
There are no restrictions on weight or height. But if you are unable to drive the karts safely, you might not be able to join the tour. Also, the engine in the kart is small, so large drivers might not be able to drive as fast.
We do not recommend pregnant women to drive. Our karts do not have suspension and the road can get bumpy. Pregnant women are to drive at their own risk and should seek medical advice before making a reservation.
We do not have any parking at any of our shops. Alternatively, you may find a coin parking lot nearby. We advise you to come by public transportation.
All of our tours are guided. There will always be a tour guide who will ensure the safety of the tour and that everyone follows the set route of the tour.
Yes, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your reserved time for the check-in process and safety instructions before riding the karts.
Yes, we have two insurance plans:
Plan (A): pay a non-refundable 500 JPY per person for full coverage.
Plan (B): no-insurance but if you get in an accident, you will have to pay up to 50,000 yen to cover damages.
Sorry but we do not provide any childcare services at any of our shops. Non-drivers above the age of 15 can wait at our Tokyo Bay shop, but other shops are too small to provide a waiting area.
No, it is illegal to drive while holding a handheld device in Japan. You will not be able to take photos on your own while driving.
Our trained tour guides will take pictures of everyone throughout the tour when stopped at traffic lights. Alternatively you can use an action camera.
You can wear anything you want as long as it is safe to drive with and allow for safe control of the karts. Please wear enclosed shoes on your tour.
You are also welcome to bring your own costumes however, we do not have any Mario or Nintendo costumes nor do we allow customers to wear Mario or Nintendo costumes for our activity.
Yes, we have a variety of different fun costumes that you can choose from. We do not have an inventory list but please come to the shop at your check in time to pick your costume as it is a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost of the costumes is included and you do not have to pay anything extra.
We also do not offer costume reserving services. You can have the fun of choosing what we have available at your tour time.
Yes, we have helmets and goggles at our shops at no extra cost.
Yes, all of our shops have lockers for personal belongings such as small backpacks. They are not large enough to hold suitcases.
If it is light to moderate rain, then the tour will go on as scheduled. Only if it is heavily raining, like during a typhoon, then we cancel the tours.
For long courses, the tour might be shortened. In this case, we will inform you before going on the tour and you will have the option to go on the short tour and get a refund for the difference, or reschedule to a different date, or cancel and get a full refund.
Yes, we have raincoats available at our shops that you can wear under your costumes at no extra cost.

We will send you a PayPal invoice that you can use credit card to pay.
No, you can pay on PayPal without creating an account. Just choose the "I do not want to create an account" option after entering your credit card details.
We mainly use PayPal for payment. If you are having issues accessing the invoice or errors with PayPal, we may be able to provide you with an alternative company link.
Sometimes payment takes time to reflect on PayPal depending on your bank or card company. Please check with your card company for any pending payments.
Sorry, but we require full payment in advance to confirm your reservation.
Yes. If you are making a reservation with other drivers, each can pay separately using the same PayPal link we provide you. Just select "Pay another amount" and enter the amount per driver.
We conduct our business in Japanese Yen (JPY), if you pay with a different currency, PayPal will charge a currency conversion fee. This fee is out of our control and is not included in the tour cost.
You can print the invoice you paid on PayPal. We will send you reservation confirmation details on the same communication thread you made the reservation from.
No, you can settle the payment to secure your reservation before having your permits ready. Once ready, please send us photos of your permit for validation.
Sorry, as per our cancellation policy, you need to have all original required documents to drive legally in Japan. Even if we have checked them beforehand, you still need to have the original, not photos, while driving.
We also will not be able to issue a refund in case the driver did not bring the required documents.
Yes, we offer a service to be your representative to JAF for the translation of your local driver's license. The fee is 5,000 Yen per license inclusive of translation fees, handling fees, and printing.
Processing time is 1-2 weeks or less depending on JAF which we can confirm by phone call.
Your Japanese Translation will be available for pick up from the shop where you are booked on the day of your tour.
Please send us clear and color photos of the front and back sides of your driver's license. Make sure that there are no fingers showing and all corners are visible.
